LANCERS STRUGGLE AGAINST HUSKIES

LANCERS STRUGGLE AGAINST HUSKIES

The men's basketball team got off to a rough start in the first of back-to-back games at home over the weekend. Facing off against the George Brown Huskies, the Lancers fell behind early on and couldn't manage to get back on top. The Huskies took a 27-17 lead after 1 quarter and maintained it throughout the entire game. Offensively, the Lancers struggled to break through the Huskies' tough press and were outscored in every quarter.

Despite the tough matchup, two first year Lancers set themselves apart with consistent play and effective offense. Ahmed Ismail came off the bench for 11 points and 6 rebounds while fellow first year, Jalen Carter Julien contributed 16 points and  7 rebounds for his best performance of the season.  Veteran Lancer Katrel Johnson was aggressive at both ends of the court with 3 steals, 4 rebounds and 13 points.

The Lancers are back in the gym Saturday afternoon when they host the Centennial Colts.
