LANCERS DROP HEARTBREAKER TO THE KNIGHTS

The men's volleyball team got off to a great start against the Fleming Knights with an early 13-5 lead in the first. Playing some of the best team volleyball they've played all season, the Lancers showed significant improvement in their offense with a bigger range of shots, better selections and smarter attacks. With inspired defence that allowed the team to control the pace and style of the game, the Lancers won the first two sets 25-19 and  25-20.

The Knights came back in the third with a 25-21 victory to force a fourth set. The home team struggled to get back in the game and the Knights evened the set scores at 2 to push to a fifth and final set. The fifth set was a tight one but the Lancers couldn't quite overcome the shift in momentum and the Knights took the set 15-11 to win the match 3-2.

Pedro Casellatto led the way for the Lancers with 17 kills, 6 aces and a block while teammate Owen Kemp turned in his best game of the season with 15 kills and 3 aces for 18 total points. The volleyball teams are back in action Saturday January 4th when they host the George Brown Huskies in their final home game of the season.
