Women's Volleyball End Semester with 8-1 Record

Windsor, ON- The St. Clair College women's volleyball wrapped up their first half schedule with a solid 3-0 win over the visiting Sheridan Bruins on Sunday afternoon at the Sportsplex.

Set scores for the Saints were 25-19, 25-13 and 26-24.

Second year outside hitter Te-Anna Stephenson (Whitby; Sinclair Secondary) led the way offensively with 10 kills, 1 stuff block, 3 service aces and 8 digs. Middle Jessica Masse (Cottam; Essex District) had a solid game as well with 7 kills on 14 attempts, 1 service ace and 1 stuff block. Setter Kim Quintanilla (Windsor; St. Joseph's) spread the ball around well picking up 26 assists in the match.

With the win the Saints improved to 8-1 on the season while Sheridan fell to 4-5.  St. Clair is ranked 2nd in Ontario and 9th in the Canada while the Bruins are currently ranked 8th in the OCAA.

The Saints are now off for the exam and Christmas break and will return to OCAA league action on Saturday, January 12 when they travel to Toronto to take on the Humber Hawks.
