Top badminton players gathered from across the country to participate in the 2007 CCAA Badminton Championships hosted by Douglas College in New Westminster, British Columbia.
On March 8th, the country’s best collegiate badminton players will travel to New Westminster, BC for the 2007 CCAA National Badminton Championships hosted by Douglas College.
For the first time in OCAA history, there was a tie for first place in the team compeition as the St. Clair Saints and Fanshawe Falcons both took home the gold medal as they ended the Cambrian Golden Shield's run for an eighth consecutive overall title.
After two days of badminton action, the field has been set for the OCAA Championships to be hosted by Centennial College (February 17-18). Cambrian College (Sudbury) played host to the East Regional Badminton Championships while Humber College hosted the West Region Championships.
As invitational tournaments wrapped up this past weekend in Windsor, OCAA Badminton players will meet in their respective regions as Humber College and Cambrian College are set to host the East and West Badminton Regional Tournaments.
