OCAA Badminton teams will be looking for an Olympic sized medal haul tomorrow when four Ontario teams will play in the championship medal rounds at the CCAA Badminton National Championships in Edmonton, Alberta.
St. Clair played host to the OCAA Provincial Badminton Championships this past weekend and was able to secure two medals along with a ticket to the National Championships in Edmonton, Alberta in two weeks which will be hosted by Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Lam Trinh and Michael Kopinak, first year head co coaches of the Humber College badminton team, were selected as the 2009/10 Ontario College’s Athletic Association Badminton Coaches of the Year.
Renee Yip, a first year member of the Humber College badminton team, was selected as the 2009/10 Ontario College’s Athletic Association Female Badminton Player of the Year.
Charlie Lay, a second year member of the Humber College badminton team, was selected as the 2009/10 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Male Badminton Player of the Year.
