Humber’s mixed doubles pair of Renee Yip and Raymond Wong took home the gold medal from the 2010 CCAA National Badminton Championship. The Yip and Wong duo lost two of their first three matches at the tournament then went on to win four in a row including dethroning the two-time defending national champions NAIT in their semi-final match. Yip was also named an All-Canadian for the first time at the Champions Banquet. The pair are also the fourth OCAA team to win a gold medal in Mixed Doubles at the National Championship.

The medals did not stop there for Team Ontario as Timothy Chiu of George Brown took home a silver medal in Men's Singles after falling in the Gold medal match to Shawn Zhang of Douglas College. Adding to the medal collection for Ontario was the duo of Jody Carruthers and Kayla Odorizzi of Cambrian who also captured Silver in Women's Doubles. Vuong Tran and Sam Lamoure of St. Clair rounded out the medals for Ontario as the won the bronze in Men's doubles. Team Ontario capped off a successful Nationals winning medals in four of the five events.
