WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOST COLTS ON SENIORS NIGHT
Mckenzie Howlett returned to the Grizzlies lineup making her season debut with a team-high 16 point performance.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted the Centennial Colts on Friday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.
The Grizzlies battled hard but were unable to match the Colts scoring power on the night as Georgian fell 83-45.
Mckenzie Howlett (Barrie) made her return to the Grizzlies lineup after being sidelined the entire season and scored team-highs in points with 16 and rebounds with nine.
Teammate Kelsey Dunkeld (Barrie) was also solid scoring 11 points and registering eight rebounds.
With it being the final regular season home game, the Grizzlies recognized their graduating student-athletes prior to the game in a special ceremony.
The Grizzlies honoured Mckenzie Howlett, Cassidy Warren-Timpano (Barrie) and Tiarra Robinson (Barrie) for all their hard work and dedication to Georgian.
Georgian will continue their regular season schedule with their final two road games. Georgian will first play the Seneca Sting this coming Tuesday, Feb. 18 followed by a visit to take on the Seneca Sting on Friday, Feb. 21.
