GRIZZLIES RUGBY BATTLE CONDITIONS IN WIN OVER STING
Henry Do led the way for the Grizzlies scoring a team-high three tries as Georgian defeated the Sting 29-15 on Friday in Markham.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's rugby team faced not only a tough team in the Seneca Sting but challenging weather conditions that pushed each team to the limit on Friday afternoon at Fletchers Field in Markham.
After the Grizzlies jumped out to an early two-score lead, the rain joined the heavy winds which drastically changed the style of game.
Georgian pushed forward and were able to come away with a 29-15 win over the Sting.
Veteran Henry Do (Brampton) led the way for the Grizzlies scoring three tries while Donovan Jacko (Brampton) and Liam Wilson (Orillia) had the other tries in the win.
The Grizzlies are now 2-0 on the season and are getting set to play their home opener this coming Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. at J.C. Massie Field on the Barrie campus of Georgian College.
Georgian will host the Mohawk Mountaineers (1-1) in the match-up with tickets to the game available at the doors for $5
