The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted the University of Toronto-Mississauga Eagles on Wednesday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.
A shorthanded Grizzlies team were unable to match the Eagles offence as Georgian fell 87-38.
Despite the loss, Grizzlies veteran Kelsey Dunkeld (Barrie) had a good game recording a double-double with a season high 18 points and 10 rebounds while teammate Katie Murray (Lucknow) had five points and a season-high 16 rebounds.
The Grizzlies will wrap up their first half of the season with games on the road.
Georgian play their final game of the first half next Wednesday, Nov. 27 when they travel to take on the Centennial Colts.
The Grizzlies will play their next home game in the New Year when they host the Loyalist Lancers on Friday, Jan. 17.
