The Georgian Grizzlies (8-0) were victorious in four sets (25-13, 20-25, 25-21, 25-17) on the road Wednesday evening against the Seneca Sting (4-4).
WHAT HAPPENED: Georgian began the match with a commanding 25-13 end to the first set, seemingly setting up the remainder of the match-up. Seneca responded to Georgian's first set victory with one of their own, taking the second set 25-20 and putting some pressure on Georgian, giving them their first set loss since Nov 12th against Durham. The Grizzlies responded by taking control of the third and fourth sets 25-21 and 25-17.
Georgian's Zane Brandt (2nd year) put 32 assists up, with 3 kills of his own to keep the game in the Grizzlies' control. On the Sting's side, it was Peter Ostranski-Ayles who delivered a commanding 21 kill game, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to defeat the Grizzlies.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Grizzlies are on the road on Saturday, December 3rd to North Bay, where they face the Canadore Panthers at 3PM, after the Women's match at 1PM. You can catch all the action on the Grizzlies Livestream!
