Dempster-Huggins Provides Support Against Charging Colts
The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team (2-6) visited Centennial college to face the Colts (3-6)
What Happened: The Georgian Grizzlies Women's Basketball team traveled to Centennial College on Saturday to face the Colts in their eigth contest of the season.
A strong first quarter by the Grizzlies looked promising, closing the first contest of the match out 17-12 with Kory Hook putting up nine points for the Grizzlies. Unfortunately the first quarter was the only one of the contest that went in favor of the Grizzlies, unable to tame the rallying Colts, Georgian fell subsequent quarters 15-6, 11-2, and 22-10, falling to Centennial 60-35.
Georgian's Mairin Dempster-Huggins kept the ball moving for Georgian at the net on both ends, getting ten defensive rebounds and 12 offensive rebounds. Kory Hook put up fourteen points for the Grizzlies, getting five rebounds and three defensive rebounds. On the Colts' side, Tara Dowrich contributed fifteen points, ten rounds, and three defensive rebounds for Centennial.
