Emily Costello was a member of the Fanshawe women's outdoor and indoor soccer teams for three seasons while majoring in the Child and Youth Worker program.

Costello was Team Captain and Team MVP all three years that she was part of the program. The London, Ont., native was a two-time recipient of the Fanshawe College Female Athlete of the Year award (2005-06 and 2007-08).

Some of her major provincial and national accomplishments included being named an OCAA League All-Star on four occasions, CCAA All-Canadian twice, as well as winning two OCAA gold medals (2005-06 in outdoor; 2007-08 in indoor).

Costello's success was not only done on the field but also in the classroom where she was the recipient of the OCAA All-Academic, SIRC CCAA All-Academic and National Scholar Awards.
