Jan Hoover played three seasons as a defenceman with the Seneca College women's hockey team in the late 1970s.

In her OCAA debut in 1977, Hoover scored two goals in two games at the OCAA championship tournament. Seneca won its second of five straight OCAA titles that season.

The following year, Hoover scored five goals and totaled 15 points in four games to lead all players in earning her second OCAA gold medal. In her final OCAA championship in 1979, Jan led her teammates with six points - including two goals - in three games as she added a third OCAA gold medal to her collection.

Jan was a multiple-time OCAA Championship All-Star. She is a member of the OCAA Women's Hockey All-Millennium team.
