Jim Macdonald was a defenceman for three seasons with the Seneca College men's hockey team.

Macdonald contributed five points - including two goals - in 16 games during the 1980-81 regular season. Seneca lost in overtime in the OCAA final to Humber.

Jim came back the following season and was named an OCAA League First-Team All-Star. He totaled 13 points, including four goals. Seneca swept Humber in the OCAA championship series before losing in the national final to NAIT. Macdonald was named a CCAA Championship All-Star for his contributions.

Macdonald repeated as an OCAA League First-Team All-Star in his final season in 1982-83, contributing two goals and 14 points.

Jim is a member of the OCAA Men's Hockey All-Millennium team.
