For over 35 years, Angela James was a fixture at Seneca College, the OCAA and Ontario Collegiate Recreation (OCR). Angela worked in Seneca Athletics & Recreation in the roles of Recreation Coordinator, Sport Coordinator and Senior Sport Coordinator from 1985 to 2020.

Angela would annually lead Seneca College's hosting of extramural events for a variety of sports, including the first OCR RECCups for men's and women's hockey.  Angela spent several years as a member of the OCR leadership team and had a couple of stints as an OCAA convenor. Angela was also an active member of Host Committees when Seneca hosted both OCAA and CCAA championships.

Angela's support of varsity and recreation students over the years was truly remarkable. Angela's understanding of the importance of sport and activity on a student's mental health and student life experience is unsurpassed. This past March, Seneca named a new scholarship in Angela's name for years of dedication and commitment to the student experience.

No stranger to Halls of Fame, Angela was previously inducted into the OCAA Hall of Fame as an athlete in 2005. As one of the pioneer's of women's hockey both domestically and internationally, Angela is also a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, Sport Canada Hall of Fame, IIHF Hall of Fame, Hockey Canada Hall of Fame, Seneca Hall of Fame and is an Order of Canada Recipient.
