Mike Albert was the Sheridan Bruins team captain and setter from 1988-89 to 1991-92.

The Bruins won the OCAA championship all four years that Albert was a member of the team, during which time he was a league all-star four times, league MVP three times, and championship MVP twice.

He was a CCAA all-Canadian in 1990 and 1992, and a CCAA championship all-star on four occasions.

Albert was named Sheridan's Male Athlete of the Year in 1990 and 1991, and in 2000 he was selected to the OCAA Men's Volleyball All-Millennium team.
