Chantal Demers was a member of the Cambrian cross country team for three seasons, beginning in 2000.

Her impact was immediate, winning her first of three consecutive OCAA individual gold medals in a time of 21:11, eighteen seconds ahead of her closest rival. She improved her margin of victory at ensuing provincials, winning by over a minute in 2001, and an incredible three minutes in 2002.

Chantal won three invitational races her first season, won another in 2001, and two more in her final season. She led the Cambrian women's team to a provincial bronze medal in 2000. Chantal finished in fourth place at the inaugural CCAA national meet in 2002, contributing to a team bronze awarded to OCAA.

Chantal became just the second women to win three consecutive OCAA individual cross country titles. She was named Cambrian's athlete of the year in 2000. Chantal graduated from the Cambrian College paramedic program in 2003.
