Glenn Johnston was the head coach of the Fanshawe men's basketball program for an impressive 35 seasons, from 1976 until 2012.

During his tenure, the Falcons won back-to-back CCAA national championships (1979-80 and 1980-81) and six OCAA provincial championships (1977-78, 1978-79, 1979-80, 1980-81, 2003-04 and 2006-07).

Glenn's teams won a dozen provincial medals in total (six gold, three silver, three bronze) and posted an amazing OCAA league record of 429 wins and 261 losses for a win percentage of .622. During this period, he was named CCAA coach of the year in 1995-96 and named the OCAA coach of the year four times (1990-91, 1995-96, 1999-2000 and 2006-07).

Among his athletes to be named to the OCAA Hall of Fame are Vito Frijia, John Hayden and Emilio Rocca. Glenn is the third Fanshawe coach to be inducted into the OCAA Hall of Fame.
