Mike Silva played three years at Humber College from 1999-2002. Between the goal posts, Silva was tough to score goals on and was subsequently the Central West region's top goal keeper in all three years of play. 

Silva's teams went on to win two gold medals and a silver medal at the provincial level. On the national scene, Silva earned a CCAA championship in 2002. Silva was the OCAA championship MVP in the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons and was also named an all-Canadian in 2002.

He also won two indoor soccer championship titles in 2000-01 and 2001-02 and again was named the top goaltender in each championship.

Silva was also Humber College's Male Athlete of the Year and was inducted into the Humber Hall of Fame in 2002.

Mike Silva was named a member of the OCAA men's soccer all-millennium team.
