In one of the most thrilling matches of the season to date, the Georgian Grizzlies overcame a two sets to one deficit to defeat the Seneca Sting.

The Sting started slow against the Grizzlies, falling behind 4-1 in the opening set. With a revamped starting line-up, the Sting battled back to take the opening set 25-22.

The second set saw a number of momentum changes with the constant being a Grizzlies lead. Trailing 9-2, the Sting battled back to cut the lead to 15-12. Following an ace by Camryn Morgan, the Grizzlies built a 19-13 lead. The Sting cut the deficit to four, but would not get any closer as the Grizzlies closed out the set 25-17.

Early leads for the Grizzlies continued in the third set as the they jumped out to an 8-3 advantage, leading to a Sting timeout. The Sting responded by taking three of the next four points. Trailing 18-13, the Sting reeled off four straight points, two via blocks, to pull within one point which led to a Grizzlies timeout.

The timeout did little to halt the momentum as the Sting scored three more points to take a 20-18 lead. The momentum would finally shift back to the Grizzlies as they would take a 22-21 lead following a fourth consecutive point. Trailing 23-22, Amy Sayaveth's attack found its way past two blockers to even the set at twenty-three. The would complete the comeback, taking the set 29-27.

The Grizzlies dominated the fourth set 25-15 to even the match. With the Grizzlies up 15-13, Katharyn Avery served six consecutive points to take a commanding lead.

The Grizzlies stormed out of the gate in the fifth set, taking a 8-2 lead into the midway point. Trailing 10-3, the Sting closed to within two, highlighted by a Crystalyn O'Donnell block. The Grizzlies regrouped to close out the match 15-10.

Crystalyn O'Donnell led the Sting with 11 kills while ading 22 digs and a match-high 6 blocks. Amy Sayaveth added 10 kills, 2 aces and 20 digs. Victoria Wensley recorded 23 digs and 4 aces. Nicole Boyd finished with 28 assists.

Quinn McGregor paced the Grizzlies with 11 kills while adding 15 digs. Ashley Mavreas added 8 kills, 3 aces and 10 digs. Kelsey McGregor finished with 7 kills and 15 digs. Brianne Berriault topped the Grizzlies with 25 digs while Katharyn Avery finished with 28 assists, 4 aces and 20 digs.
