The Seneca Sting (13-4) fell to the St. Lawrence Vikings (8-7) 67-66 on a basket with 5.1 seconds remaining.
The Sting overwhelmed the Vikings early, jumping out to an 11-0 lead in the first 3:30 of the game. The Sting led 21-12 at the end of the opening quarter.
The Vikings clawed away at the Sting lead, closing to two points at halftime with the Sting leading 35-33.
Coming out of halftime, the Sting once again started quickly. Following a game-tying basket by the Vikings, the Sting went on an 8-0 run to lead 43-35. The Vikings would once again battled back, closing to 46-44.
With the game coming down to the final posession, Chelsea Ramsay made a layup to give the Vikings a one-point lead. Following a timeout, the Sting took one final shot for the win, but Sarah Given's runner came up short.
