SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO - The Colts opened at home on Sunday, September 10 at Neilson Park In a double-header against Sault St. Marie! In the first match, the Colts came out strong! Led by an excellent start from rookie Luke Ciavoliello. The first-year hurler got some early run support in the bottom of the first as the Colts jumped to an early 3-0 lead. The offence continued their hot start with some stellar base running created off a fake bunt play by 3-year player Cameron James. A double steal put, Kevin Akiyama and Takehito Mori in scoring position. James would turn his at-bat into a 2-RBI single with a shallow shot to right, scoring Akiyama and Mori to make it a 5-0.

Colts baseball continued to pour it on, with Riley Briggs scoring off an Akiyama RBI double. Akiyama would later score, making it 8-0 at the end of the second. The Colts would cruise the rest of the way as Takehito Mori came in from left field to relieve Ciavoliello after 5 strong innings. Mori would go 1-2-3 with one strike before Nathan Chard came in to close the game. The combined efforts of the Colts 3 pitchers earned the program their first combined no-hitter in program history.
