The Seneca Sting offense exploded against the Mohawk Mountaineers, winning the opening game 15-5. Each team scored one run in the first inning, but the Sting took a commanding lead with five runs in the bottom of the second inning. The Mountaineers clawed their way back with four runs in the top half of the third inning, but six runs by the Sting in the bottom half of the third inning was too much to overcome. The Sting added one run in the fifth and two in the sixth inning for the win in six innings.
- The Sting out hit the Mountaineers 15-7 as a team
- Anyssa Hill, Alexia Koitsopoulos and River Johnston each had three hits
- Koitsopoulos scored three runs and had four RBIs
- Caity Allen scored twice and had three RBIs
- The Mountaineers committed seven errors while the Sting were perfect defensively
- Cassidy Warner and Koitsopoulos each had a home run in the game
The Sting (2-7) and Mountaineers (1-8) play the second game of their double header. The Sting travel to play the Humber Hawks (7-3) on Saturday, September 24 at 4:00 and 6:00 PM at Connorvale Park.
