Colts Take on the Surge For the Second Time in the Season

By: Pedro Cassellato

After another great performance at home, the now second-ranked Centennial Women's Soccer team is back on the road. This Friday, they will be facing the St. Lawrence Surge for the second time this season, at 8:00 PM, at the Kingston Campus South Field.

In the first game between the two teams, the Colts dominated the game, leaving no space for the Surge to create many plays, winning the game 7-1. The women's soccer coach, Rich Hirst, is planning on repeating the successful strategies of maintaining possession on the defensive side of the field and finding spaces to attack through the midfield. While talking about it, Coach Hirst added, "It is our plan, and it is working; there is no reason to change it right now."

The Surge are looking for redemption against the Colts, as they were not able to offensively challenge the Colts' defence in the first game. With a record of 2-3, the Surge will be looking for a chance to get momentum back and rise up the standings towards the top four.

We hope the Colts can maintain the momentum and come out for a great game against the Surge. It will be their chance to stay undefeated and keep pace with the top seeded, Seneca Sting.
