Colts Down Wolves

Colts Down Wolves

By: Pedro Casellatto

The Centennial Women's Volleyball team played another five-set game, and this time, they were able to get the win against the Algonquin Wolves. Both teams attacked with a lot of efficiency, and the game was decided once again on the quality of serving. The Colts' service impacted the strategy of the Wolves for the tiebreak and got them their third win of the season.

The Colts were very effective on the sideout. With three players on the Colts side with a hitting percentage of more than .400, they showed a lot of energy and motivation to get over the Wednesday loss and start a new streak of wins. Although they had a slow start and allowed the Wolves to take the first set, the Colts got back in the game and made it 2-1 in sets. With a very aggressive serve, the Wolves didn't have many chances to get ahead on the scoreboard.

To add extra heat to the game, the Wolves came out for the fourth set with a different energy and matched the attacking effectiveness that the Colts had. With a small 3-point lead, the Wolves won the fourth set and took the game to the tiebreak. The Colts responded, and with a little extra effort, they closed the tiebreak at 15-11.

After a great performance, they are looking to continue the streak. They will be playing again this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. when they host the La Cite Coyotes. We hope to see another great game and a positive performance on the Colts side.
