Sting Come From Behind for Win

The Seneca Sting scored three second half goals to defeat the St. Lawrence Vikings 3-1.

The Vikings opened the scoring in the 4'. Zita Wheatcroft converted a crossing pass with a header past Sting goalkeeper Zoe Rath.

After allowing their first goal of the season, the Sting began to control the action, with the ball rarely leaving the Vikings' side of half.

Following a number of chances, the Sting finally converted in the 63'. Victoria Harvey sent a shot from the top right side of the box into the Vikings net to even the match. Less than a minute later, Alessia Da Silva gave the Sting the lead in the 64'.

Ellie Hayes completed the scoring in the 79' on a breakway, pumping her fist in celebration following her third goal of the season.
