Sting Fall to Hawks

The Seneca Sting fell to the Humber Hawks in their home opener Saturday night 5-0.

The Sting battled for ninety minutes against the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association's (CCAA) top ranked team.

Jordan Piccinin opened the scoring for the Hawks in the 10' minute while Jaineil Hoilett netted his first of the match in the 39' minute, just before halftime.

In the 49' minute, Hoilett struck again before Marcos Nunes completed the scoring, netting goals in the 52' minute and 64' minute.

The Hawks controlled the field position battle, attempting five corner kicks to just two by the Sting while attempting nineteen shots compared to ten for the home team.

Tayjon Campbell finished the game with nine saves for the Sting while allowing five goals. Karman Singh picked up the shutout for the Hawks, stopping all seven shots on goal.

The Sting fell to 0-3-0 on the season while the Hawks remain unbeaten at 4-0-0, tops in the OCAA Central Division.
