Colts Ride to North York to Take on the Sting

Colts Ride to North York to Take on the Sting

By: Pedro Casellatto

After winning the first game at home against the George Brown Huskies, the Centennial Women's Volleyball team is on the road. They will be facing the strong Seneca Sting at the Newnham Campus this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

The Colts' preseason gave them a lot of clarity on what to work on, which led to a great first result. Now, they must focus on applying what they worked on and making the adjustments to stop the Sting's strong offensive system. They count on many familiar faces this season, but also on strong additions to the squad that will make a difference in their game. The second-year player and captain of the Colts, Isabella Heath, said that "it will be a great season; we have high expectations".

On the opposite side of the court, the Sting counts on experience. They finished second in the east division last year, and the goal will be similar this year. They come off a consistent game against the Canadore Panthers, with momentum on their side as well as the crowd.

We hope to see a good performance on the Colts side, just like they have been showing. Tune in to support our team at the beginning of the season.
