ST. CLAIR MEN'S BASEBALL SLIPS BY BROCK

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's baseball team got off to good start this afternoon in St. Catharines, Ont., at the OUA/OCAA championship after defeating host Brock University by a score of 1-0.

OCAA player of the year Kyle Breitner pitched a seven inning complete game shutout for the Saints allowing only two hits and two walks while striking out nine batters.

The only run of the game came in the second inning on an RBI double by Saints shortstop Matt Sykes who drove in Josh Sikich. Sykes finished with two hits in the game.
 
The four-team double knockout format being played at George Taylor Field in St. Catharines continues Saturday with Durham College taking on Brock at 10 a.m. and St. Clair playing the OUA champion Laurier at 1 p.m. Sunday's championship game is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Game 5: Loser Game 4 vs. Winner Game 3 - 5 p.m.
 
Sunday, Oct. 27
Game 6: Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5 - 11 a.m.
Game 7: Winner Game 6 vs. Loser Game 6 (if necessary) - 3 p.m.
