Dan Kai of NAIT in Alberta won an incredible fifth gold medal in men's singles with a 2-0 win (21-12, 21-18) over silver medalist Jason Sun of Langara College. Kai, a Xi'an, China native went undefeated in the round robin with a 5-0 record and continued right through the medal round with two more victories to earn the gold medal.

A familiar name was seen in the women's singles division as well, with RuiLin Huang of Douglas College in New Westminster, B.C. earning her fourth straight gold medal. The Burnaby, B.C. native also had a perfect 7-0 record through the championship to earn the title.

Her Douglas College teammates Nathan Choi and Wei (Ray) Luo were also able to claim gold in men's doubles. Choi of Vancouver, B.C. and Luo of Burnaby were dominant throughout the tournament and defeated fellow Pacwest competitors Willis Kwee and Andy Wong of Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Vancouver who earned silver.

2013 CCAA Female Player of the Year Tracy Wong along with her teammate Renee Yip of Humber College were able to claim gold after a thrilling three set 2-1 victory over Amy Leung and Charmagne Yeung representing Douglas College.
