ST. CLAIR BADMINTON ADVANCES FOUR PLAYERS TO PROVINCIALS

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - The St. Clair College badminton team competed at the west regionals this past weekend hosted by the University of Toronto Mississauga and qualified the mixed doubles pair along with the men's doubles team for the OCAA provincial championships hosted by Seneca College in North York, Ont., Feb. 19-20.

The Saints mixed doubles team comprised of first-year players Somath Kong (Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey) and Alaina Lee (Windsor, Ont./Kennedy) finished in second place this past weekend with 5-1 record with their only loss to Humber College in three sets (21-17, 15-21, 10-21).

For the second straight year the St. Clair men's doubles pair of Dat Dang (Windsor, Ont./Catholic Central) and Matt Treloar (Belle River, Ont./Belle River) combined for a third-place finish. Dang and Treloar were 4-2 in pool play qualifying them for the OCAA provincials.

Women's Singles - Sina Muth - 1-4 Record, 5th Place                      
Men's Singles - Mitchell Bradshaw - 2-4 Record, 5th Place
Men's Singles - Xinhong Tong - 1-5 Record, 6th Place
