BEVIS NAMED HEAD COACH OF CONESTOGA BADMINTON

KITCHENER, Ont. - Conestoga College Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce the hiring of Roselyn Bevis as the new head coach of the co-ed badminton varsity program.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Roselyn has been a competitive badminton player for over a decade. Moving to Kitchener in 2016, she has been an enthusiastic and dedicated leader on the Condors badminton team. As the female team captain for last two years, she helped mentor the females and promote a positive team atmosphere. Recovering from an ACL injury in 2017 at the bronze medal mixed match at OCAA provincials, Roselyn is looking forward to her new role as coach.

"I am incredibly humbled to be given the opportunity to lead the Conestoga Condors badminton team," said Bevis. "I am excited to share my experience and passion for the sport with the athletes. I look forward to working closely with the team to help them succeed in competitive play and support them in their individual academic pursuits. Let's go Condors!"

"Our Conestoga Condors family is very excited to appoint Roselyn as our next head coach. From her impressive playing and coaching background we feel she is a great fit for our student-athletes on the badminton team. We look forward to the foundation that she will build for our program moving forward," stated Todd Erskine, Assistant Manager, Athletics and Recreation.
