TECUMSEH, Ont. - On Sunday the St. Clair College Saints men's baseball team won their second consecutive OCAA/OUA championship by defeating Brock University twice at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh, Ont.
The Saints topped Brock in the first game 3-2 at 12 noon and needed the extra game in the double knock-out format to win the championship later that afternoon by a score of 7-5.
Joel Cooper (Lasalle, Ont./Sandwich) earned championship most valuable player honours for St. Clair while Rob Cooper (Belle River, Ont./St. Anne) and Crannel Jerald (Lasalle, Ont./Sandwich) were also voted to the tournament all-star team.
