ST. CLAIR 6, FANSHAWE 4

TECUMSEH, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's baseball team extended their winning streak with a dramatic come from behind 6-4 win over Fanshawe Wednesday night at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh, Ont.

Rob Cooper's (Belle River, Ont./St. Anne) seventh inning walk-off three-run homer allowed the Saints to steal the win after trailing the entire game. Webber Snow (Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey) picked up the win pitching the final two innings of scoreless relief for St. Clair. The win gives the Saints a 9-0 record and drops Fanshawe to 6-3 on the season.

The Saints go on the road this weekend to continue their OCAA schedule with a doubleheader Friday night at Toronto's Wishing Well Park against Seneca College. They complete the weekend road trip with a doubleheader against Durham College on Saturday at Kinsmen Park in Oshawa, Ont.

TECUMSEH, Ont. - It was another successful week for the Fanshawe Falcons men's baseball team, which finished their road trip with two wins and one loss.

They are in second place in the OCAA standings with an overall record of 8-3.

On Wednesday, Sept. 17, the Falcons were on the road in Windsor, Ont., to battle it out against the league-leading St. Clair Saints. Fanshawe held a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning but a walk-off home run by the Saints sent the Falcons home with the loss. Brett Sabourin not only pitched a great game but went 2-for-2 at the plate with a walk.

On Saturday, Fanshawe went to Seneca to take on the Sting in a doubleheader. Fanshawe won both games by scores of 18-5 and 12-2.

Fanshawe plays host to the first place Saints next Saturday, Sept. 27 for a doubleheader. The games are at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Labatt Park.
