TORONTO - This past weekend, the Fanshawe Falcons men's baseball team had a successful weekend in Toronto, finishing the trip 3-1.
Fanshawe currently sits in second place in the OCAA baseball standings with an overall record of 6-2.
On Saturday, Fanshawe took on the Humber Hawks (1-3). The Falcons lost 4-2 in the first game but came back to win 12-10 in the second, splitting the series.
Fanshawe's RJ Good finished the day 5-for-6 at the plate while catcher Sean Refflinghaus finished 4-for-7 with four runs, two RBI and a walk.
On Sunday, the Falcons took care of business at George Brown, defeating the Huskies in both games.
In the first game, the Falcons were down 2-0 before exploding for nine runs in the final three innings combined to win the game 9-2.
In the second game, Fanshawe's Brett Sabourin hit the first ever home run in Falcons history and helped Fanshawe win 15-3 in just five innings.
Paul Lytwynec finished the day 5-for-6 with four RBI, three runs and a home run of his own.
Next up, the Falcons have their biggest test yet, as they head to Windsor, Ont., to take on the undefeated St. Clair Saints (8-0).
