TECUMSEH, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's baseball team (15-3) swept a doubleheader against George Brown College (1-17) Saturday afternoon in Tecumseh, Ont., at Lacasse Park by scores of 10-0 and 14-4. The Saints needed just five innings in each mercy shortened contest for the victories.

In Game 1, pitcher Shane Courtney (Windsor, Ont./WF Herman) worked three perfect innings on the mound before giving way to relievers Micah Harris (Harrow, Ont.) and Bailey Durocher (Owen Sound, Ont.) who completed the shutout for St. Clair. Kevin Dion (Newmarket, Ont.) had three hits and two RBIs while Tristan Bouchat (Windsor, Ont./FJ Brennan) went deep for a home run pacing the Saints offence.

In Game 2, the Saints overcame an early 4-1 deficit with a four-run second inning rally that included a home run from Matt Bassingthwaighte (Windsor, Ont./FJ Brennan). Demitri Bertoni (Amherstburg, Ont./St. Thomas of Villanova) added his second long ball of the weekend in the third inning and the Saints never looked back completing the mercy in the bottom of the fifth inning with another seven inning barrage. Dion had another three hits in this game for St. Clair giving him six hits on the day. Ben Baltrusiunas (Pelham, Ont.) came on in relief to pitch four strong innings picking up the win on the mound for the Saints.

Rains in the Toronto area prevented a trip to Durham College in Oshawa on Sunday which means St. Clair will compete their OCAA regular season schedule with a trip on Tuesday.
