ST. CLAIR 10, SENECA 0

TECUMSEH, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's baseball team (4-0) swept a doubleheader against Seneca College (0-4) Sunday afternoon in Tecumseh at Lacasse Park by scores of 3-1 and 10-0 to run their record to 4-0 early in the OCAA regular season.

In Game 1, the Saints fell behind 1-0 in the fourth inning but pushed three runs across in the fifth inning to regain the lead which is all the offence they would need for starting pitcher Seth Chauvin (Tecumseh/L'Essor) who went the distance allowing just three hits while striking out three Seneca batters. Austin Oulds (Chatham) had two RBIs and a single to lead St. Clair at the plate adding a stolen base.

In Game 2, the Saints scored two in the second inning but saved their energy for an eight-run outburst in the fifth inning which secured a mercy shortened 10-0 victory. Saints starter Micah Harris (Cottam/Essex District) picked up the win in short work only giving up a single hit to go with two strikeouts. Carson Burke (Tecumseh/St. Anne) was short of the cycle by a home run collecting three hits and adding an RBI while Kevin Dion (Newmarket) had a pair of hits to go with an RBI for St. Clair.

St. Clair goes on the road next weekend for doubleheaders at Humber College (Etobicoke) on Saturday and Durham College (Oshawa) on Sunday.
