OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College women's basketball team will be hosting a "Never Give Up" charity campaign in support of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada at their two remaining homes games.
The team is supporting freshman guard Courtney Harley in her "Never Give Up" campaign to raise money for her best friend's father who was diagnosed with brain cancer this past year.
The team will be warming up wearing the campaign T-shirts (every member purchased one in support of her) and will be selling them at the door. The team will also be accepting donations towards the cause.
The Lords have two remaining home games at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre:
Tuesday, Jan. 28 vs. Loyalist - 6 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 14 vs. St. Lawrence - 6 p.m.
Durham is 9-3 this season and have won eight of their last nine
games. With five games remaining in the regular season, the Lords
will be looking to finish in second place and earn an automatic bye
into the OCAA championship (hosted by Mohawk College).
