The Fanshawe Falcons of London, Ont. have earned double gold at the 2012 CCAA Curling Invitational Championship in Peterborough, Ont.
The Fanshawe men's curling team defeated the Red Deer Kings of
Red Deer, Alta. 5-4 for the gold medal. The men were behind 4-3 in
the 8th end and came back with 2 points for the win in the 9th.
The Fanshawe women's curling team defeated the Grande Prairie
Wolves of Grande Prairie, Alta. 6-4 in the 10th end to win
the gold medal.
"You couldn't have asked for better finals," said Sandra
Murray-MacDonell, CCAA's executive director. "It was
East-versus-West and both came down to the last rock."
