SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - The Mohawk men and women got off to good starts at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Curling National Championships in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., on Wednesday.
Both teams opened with victories.
Kendall Haymes' OCAA silver medalists downed
MacEwan University of Edmonton 8-5.
The Mountaineers, down 2-1 after three ends, stole three in the
fourth and scored three more in the eighth.
They'll next meet Red Deer College at 7 p.m.
Logan James' Mohawk men's rink topped OCAA rival Humber 6-4.
The Mountaineers scored two in the third end and stole singles
in the fifth and eighth ends.
They will meet host Sault College in the second draw tonight at 7
p.m. at the Soo Curlers Club.
