OLDS, Alta. - Avery Thomas and her Mohawk women's curling team slipped to 1-3 Thursday evening losing 8-4 to Humber at the CCAA curling championships in Olds, Alta.

The Hawks scored a deuce in the second end and added two more in the fifth and ninth ends, en route to victory.

The Mountaineers foursome battled back from a 6-2 deficit to get to within two points in the eighth end before Humber put the game away.

The Mountaineers final game of the night is versus Fanshawe.
