OSHAWA, Ont. - Durham College picked up a 2-0 shutout victory
over the Humber Hawks in game one of the OCAA Women's Fastball
Championship taking place at Durham College from October 21-22.
Shannon Galea picked up the win for Durham as she threw seven
shutout innings, allowing only one hit, one walk and two hit
batters. Humber's ace Jessica O'Quinn also had a great game on the
mound throwing six innings, allowing only two runs on seven hits to
the OCAA's top offence.
The difference in the game was a Jenn Dupuis home run in the first
inning to left field. Brittany Bell also scored a run, with Melissa
Semeniuk picking up the RBI.
