ST. CLAIR 5, CONESTOGA 4

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's softball team took a pair of games away from Conestoga College (Kitchener) in dramatic fashion at the campus diamond Sunday.

Rookie catcher Mackenzie Noah (Thamseville) was the hero for the day providing the game winning RBI at both ends of the doubleheader. In the first game Noah's sixth inning bases clearing double accounted for all three Saints runs allowing a come from behind 3-1 victory for St. Clair.

With the scored tied 4-4 in the seventh inning of game two she again had the clutch hit but this time in walk-off fashion to score the go ahead run for a 5-4 Saints win.

Fifth-year pitcher Allison Telfer (Windsor/FJ Brennan) collected both wins on the day pitching all 14 innings for St. Clair.

With the doubleheader sweep the Saints moved their record to an OCAA League best 10-4 on the season.

The Saints host Mohawk College (3-9) at the campus diamond Saturday with game times of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. next weekend and follow that up with a doubleheader against Humber College (8-1) on Sunday also with game times of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
