CONESTOGA 11, MOHAWK 3

KITCHENER, Ont. - The Mohawk women's fastball team took it on the chin twice at Conestoga on Wednesday.

The Condors beat the Mountaineers 10-0, in six innings and 11-3, in the regulation seven frames.

In Game 1, Conestoga scored four runs in the second inning and three more in the third. Kayla Gammie led the Condors with two RBI, as Jensen Chapman beat Aimee Leduc.

In the nightcap, Mohawk led 3-1 after two innings, but Conestoga exploded for seven runs in the third inning and added two more in the fourth.

Once again, Gammie led the Condors at the plate, driving in three runs.

For the Mountaineers, Sarah Bell and Amber Kukuk each had an RBI.

Mary Kate Allen picked up the win, while Leduc absorbed her second defeat of the night.
