MOHAWK 11, SENECA 0

TORONTO - Mohawk divided a pair of games in OCAA women's softball at Seneca College in North York on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

The Mountaineers rolled 11-0 in the opener, which went the regulation seven innings. Sara Bell had three hits, Meagan Byers, Mackenzie Phillpot and Shelby Hayward had two each.

Aimee Leduc was the winning pitcher.

Leduc was also the hard luck loser in the nightcap as the Sting needed nine innings, but edged the Mountaineers 3-2. "It was a tough loss in Game 2, but overall there were lots of positives," said Mohawk head coach Todd Bannister.

Mohawk is now 2-2 and tied for second place with Durham, behind 5-1 St. Clair. The Saints come to Mohawk Sports Park for two games, Saturday, Sept. 16, at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
