Last week from September 17-20, the 2007 Canadian Professional Golf Tour Fall Qualifying School event took place at Royal Ashburn Golf Course in Ashburn. Among the top Canadian golfers competing, were Durham College graduates, former OCAA, Canadian College Champions and Lords standouts Will Mitchell (Whitby) and Tyler Martin (Caesarea).

After the four day event was concluded, Will Mitchell finished tied for seventh overall with a total accumulative score of 291 including an impressive 70 on the second day of competition. As a result, Will qualifies for all 2008 Canadian Professional Golf Tour events beginning in February. Tyler Martin did it the hard way, as he sank a fifteen-foot-birdie on the eighteenth green to shot a final round 72, good enough for a 295 total and qualified him as a non-exempt member of the 2008 Canadian Professional Golf Tour.
