The St. Clair College Saints and Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor
are set to welcome the best collegiate golfers from across Canada
from October 13-16, 2009 at the PING CCAA Golf National
Championships.
St. Clair kicked-off promotion for the championships with a media
day hosted at the Ambassador course on September 2nd. Over 24
members of the local Windsor media and guests from the CCAA and
OCAA enjoyed a day of golf and were treated to what lies ahead for
Canada’s best collegiate golfers.
The CCAA event is the first national golf championship to be held
at the Ambassador Golf Club and the club is looking forward to
helping host the event.
"It's a national championship and we're always looking for
opportunities like that to showcase our facility and golf course,"
stated Ambassador Director of Golf Dave Findlay.
Ambassador, which opened in 2006 and was built by renowned golf
course architect Thomas McBroom, has already won a slew of awards
including best new golf course in Canada (Golf Digest) and was
named one of the top 25 places to play in Ontario by Ontario
Golf.
