The Laval Rouge et Or men’s golf team (117 points) are the
top post secondary golf team in Canada edging the defending CCAA
and OCAA champion Humber Hawks (116 points) in a vote conducted by
the Post Secondary Golf Coaches Association of Canada (PSGCAC) this
week.
Laval and Humber both received three of a possible six first place
votes. The British Columbia Thunderbirds (109 points) came in third
followed closely by the Victoria Vikes (102 points). The Waterloo
Warriors (94 points), University of the Fraser Valley Cascades (90
points), Western Mustangs (84 points), Université de
Montréal Carabins (78 points), Manitoba Bisons (63 points)
and Queens Gaels (57 points) round out positions five through 10
respectively.
Georgian College Grizzlies (50 points), Vancouver Island University
Mariners (50 points) and the Alberta Golden Bears (50 points) all
tied for 11th position with the Guelph Gryphons (48 points) and
Camosun College Chargers filling out the top 15. Université
de Sherbrooke Vert et Or (19 points) Toronto Varsity Blues (18
points), Laurier Golden Hawks (18 points), New Brunswick Varsity
Reds (18 points) the Calgary Dinos complete the top 20.
Other teams receiving votes: Mount Royal University, Durham
College, University of Lethbridge, Holland Hurricanes,
Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières
and the University of Ottawa.
