DURHAM COLLEGE'S TIFFANY ALBATH EYEING A PODIUM FINISH

ASHBURN, Ont. – Tiffany Albath of the Durham College women's golf team recorded a +6 (78) round three at the 2011 Canadian University/College golf championship at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club on Thursday. With a three-day total of +28 (244), Albath makes the cut and will advance to the final round of play which is set for Friday.

She enters the final round just four strokes back of third place.

Playing in the final group of the day three, Albath recorded two birdies and nine pars to score her best round of the tournament.

Teammate Kayleigh Kraemer struggled during the beginning of her round, only recording one par in the first nine holes. Despite shooting +4 the rest of the way, Kraemer just failed to make the cut (individuals must be 15 strokes or less behind the leader to make the cut). Kraemer finished the tournament in the top 20 in the field of over 50 golfers.

For the second consecutive day, David Lang had the low score for the Durham Lords on the men's side. The Keswick, Ont. native shot a +6 (78), which was once again below the field's average.

Lang and James Hoffman finished the tournament tied with matching three day totals of +25 (241) for Durham.

Albath will tee off at 8:10 a.m. on Friday for the final round.
