LONDON, Ont. - The Humber Hawks soared at the Fanshawe Fall
Classic Golf Tournament at Forest City National Golf & Country
Club on Saturday in London, Ont.
Humber's Mark Nagy shot a one-over 73 to take the
men's individual title, one stroke ahead of teammate Connor
Hache. Humber won the men's team title with a total score
of 304.
Durham's Tyson Wetherup shot a 75 to finish in
third place. Four golfers finished with a round of 76, including
Niagara's Cole Kent, and Georgian's James
Skrypec, Colton Kalkanis and
Jonah Tremback. Georgian placed second in the team
standings with a total score of 313, followed by Niagara's 316.
Candi Campbell of Humber took the women's
individual crown with a round of 80, two strokes ahead of defending
OCAA champion Tiffany Albath of Durham. Campbell
and teammate Kalynn Davis combined for a score of
173 to take the women's title. Heather Mackenzie
and Ashey Unrau of St. Clair shot 88 and 89,
respectively, to finish second in the team standings. Georgian
finished in third spot with a combined score of 189.
Niagara hosts the next OCAA invitational on Wednesday at Hunters
Pointe in Welland, Ont.
The 2012 OCAA Golf Championships take place beginning October 1,
hosted by St. Clair at the Roseland Golf and Curling Club in
Windsor, Ont.
